A basic Swedish Massage can greatly help your body to relax and calm your mind.  Using a combination of effleurage (continuous gliding movement); petrissage (kneading of the soft tissue); friction (including cross-fiber and circular motions); vibration (light shaking of the soft tissue to reach deeper muscle groups); and tapotement (a light tapping mostly using a continuous “cupping” movement) your therapist may aid you in achieving a balanced body.


During a Swedish massage, you will be able to connect your mind and body to uncover any underlying problems you would like your therapist to address.  Maintaining such a connection will continue to help you stay “in touch” with what your body is experiencing.
